Best Yatir Winery Forest 2009 750ML

Yatir Winery Forest 2009 750ML by

This wine is from Israel, Judean Hills region. The 2009 Yatir Forest, the top wine here, is 49% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Petit Verdot and 10% Merlot. As Iave noted before, this bottlingas blend from Carmelas Judean Hills boutique winery is often along the same lines as its sibling from Carmel, the Limited Edition. This Yatir Forest has an even bigger dollop of Petit Verdot, though, yet it handles it far better. This adds a layer of depth to Yatiras regular Cabernet and generally seems more likely to retain its balance as it ages. Although they are quite close now, they may yet separate more in time. While remaining very graceful in the mid-palate a' a consistent trademark of this bottling and the winery--it is tight and persistent and built to age. This is a lovely and beautifully constructed Yatir Forest, the only question being whether it is a sufficient upgrade over the regular Cabernet to merit the price spike. Thatas up to you and your pocketbook. The wine certainly delivers. Drink 2014-2021. Kosher CABERNET SAUVIGNON^MERLOT WineRead more Yatir Winery Forest 2009 750ML
