The 2007 vintage has almost unanimously been regarded a the vintage of the decade. Bud break was early, and temperatures moderate. Grape quality was unparalleled as a result of extended hang time and concentration of flavors. The Shannon Ridge Vineyard hugs the mountain ridges of the High Valley appellation, high above the deep, blue waters of Clear Lake. At 2200 feet of elevation the vineyards are comprised of well drained volcanic rock, and carefully fit to the contours of the land.
